How to Draw a Leaf Dinosaur
Draw a leaf dinosaur in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big head.
Step 1: Big head
Near the top of your paper, draw a big head, wider than tall, with fat round cheeks.
Tip The head is almost half of the whole dinosaur.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes with big black dots and white shines.
Step 3: Nostrils and smile
Dot 2 nostrils under the eyes. Start under the left eye and draw a wide smile to the right eye.
Step 4: Belly and tummy plate
Start under the left cheek. Draw a big pear body, back up to the right cheek. Add a tummy plate.
Tip The body is narrower than the head.
Step 5: Leaf crest
On top of the head, draw 3 pointy leaves, starting and stopping on the head. Add a line up each.
Step 6: Arms and mittens
Start under each cheek. Draw a fat sausage arm down to a mitten on the tummy, back to the head.
Step 7: Legs and feet
Low on each side of the belly, draw a big flat foot poking out, with a little leg bump above it.
Step 8: Pointed tail and ground
Start on the right side above the foot. Draw a short pointed tail out and back. Add a ground line.
Step 9: Cream tummy
Colour the tummy plate cream, but not the mittens resting on it.
Step 10: Teal body, green leaves
Go over your lines. Colour the leaves green and the dinosaur teal, around the tummy. Leave the eyes white.
