How to Draw an Alien
Draw an alien in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big dome head.
Step 1: Big dome head
Near the top of your paper draw a big egg, fat dome on top and narrow chin at the bottom.
Tip Most of the alien is head.
Step 2: 2 antennae
Start on top of the head, each side. Draw a short stalk leaning out, up to a small ball.
Step 3: 2 huge eyes
Above the middle of the head draw 2 huge almond eyes, leaning out. Add a small shine circle in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Start under the left eye. Draw a small smile up to under the right eye. Add a cheek each side.
Step 5: Pear body
Start under the chin. Draw a narrow neck widening into pear hips, round the bottom, and back to the chin.
Step 6: Waving arm
From the left shoulder, draw an arm bending up to a round mitten hand with 3 finger bumps.
Step 7: Hanging arm
From the right shoulder, draw an arm hanging down to a mitten hand with 3 finger bumps, beside the hip.
Step 8: 2 legs and feet
Under the body draw 2 short legs a little apart, getting thinner, each with a soft round foot.
Tip 2 little up-ticks on each foot make 3 toes.
Step 9: Ground and tummy
Draw a straight ground line under both feet, wider than the alien. Add a round tummy patch.
Step 10: Flying saucer
Top right, draw a saucer with a dome on top. From under it draw 3 beams, ending in the air.
Step 11: Yellow and leaf green
Colour the antenna balls yellow. Colour the tummy patch and the cheeks leaf green.
Step 12: Grey saucer
Colour the flying saucer grey. Leave the dome white.
Step 13: Green alien, black eyes
Colour the alien green, around the tummy and cheeks. Colour the eyes black, around the shines.
