How to Draw Lavender
Draw lavender in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: middle stalk.
Step 1: Middle stalk
Start near the bottom. Draw a tall stalk, thinner as it goes up. Stop a third from the top.
Step 2: Two more stalks
Start on the same spot. Draw a shorter stalk leaning left and one leaning right. Stop below the middle top.
Step 3: Middle spike
Start on the left of the middle stalk. Draw a slim bumpy spike to a point, stopping on the right.
Tip Make it widest near the bottom, with smaller bumps up to the tip.
Step 4: Left spike
Start on the left stalk's tip. Draw a bumpy spike to a point and stop on the other side.
Step 5: Right spike
Start on the right stalk's tip. Draw a bumpy spike to a point and stop on the other side.
Step 6: Leaves on the left
Halfway up the left stalk draw a thin pointy leaf leaning left. Add another on the middle stalk.
Step 7: Leaves on the right
Draw 2 more thin pointy leaves on the right: one on the right stalk, one on the middle stalk.
Step 8: Soil and grass
Draw a soil hill over the stalk ends, a ground line across the page, and 2 grass blades each side.
Step 9: Green stalks and leaves
Go over your lines. Colour the stalks and the leaves green.
Step 10: Purple spikes, brown soil
Colour all 3 spikes purple, right into every bump, and the soil brown. Your lavender is done!
