How to Draw a Laundromat
Draw a laundromat in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the shop.
Step 1: The shop
Draw a big box nearly filling your paper for the shop front, standing on the ground.
Tip A laundromat is a shop full of washing machines for washing your clothes.
Step 2: The sign
Across the top draw a flat sign band. Add a T-shirt in the middle and a bubble at each end.
Step 3: The window
Under the sign draw a wide shop window. Leave a border of wall round it and room on the right.
Step 4: Three washers
Inside the window draw three tall boxes side by side on the window's bottom edge for the washing machines.
Step 5: Porthole doors
On each washer draw a big round door, with a smaller circle inside it for the glass.
Step 6: Control panels
Near the top of each washer draw a short line across for the control panel.
Step 7: The door
On the right draw a tall door standing on the bottom line, with a window and a round knob.
Step 8: Base and ground
Under the window draw a flat band to the door, then a ground line from edge to edge.
Step 9: Soapy water
Across each glass, side to side, draw a wave for the water.
Step 10: Cream wall, sky windows
Go over your lines. Colour the wall cream and both windows sky blue, around the washers and door.
Step 11: Wood door, blue sign
Colour the door wood brown around its window, and the sign blue around its bubbles and T-shirt.
Step 12: Blue water, slate rings
Colour the water in each glass blue, then each porthole ring slate around the glass. Leave the washers white.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a laundromat, drawn by you.
