How to Draw a Lasagna Cat

Step 1: The head

Near the top, draw a big sideways egg head with chubby cheeks. Give each cheek 2 soft fur bumps.

Tip The head is more than half of the whole cat.

Step 2: Pointy ears

Start on the head's left, draw a pointy ear back to the head. Add a pink triangle inside. Same right.

Step 3: Two big eyes

In the middle of the head, draw 2 big oval eyes. Add big black dots and white shines.

Step 4: Nose and W smile

Below the eyes, draw a pink upside-down triangle nose. From its point, draw a W smile out to each side.

Step 5: Round body and chest

Start under the left cheek. Draw a big C down to the bottom middle. Same right. Add a U chest.

Tip A fat pear hanging off the cheeks, never wider than the head.

Step 6: Front legs

Start on the chest, left. Draw a U leg down to a fat paw, back to the chest. Same right.

Tip Short legs, big paws. Add a paw curve and 2 toe curves to each paw.

Step 7: Long curling tail

Start on the right haunch. Draw a tail down to the ground, curling up to a round tip, then back.

Step 8: Back paws and ground

Draw a plump bun back paw under each haunch. Draw a long ground line from the left past the tail.

Tip Rub out the body line inside each back paw.

Step 9: Whiskers

From each fur bump on the cheeks, draw a whisker sweeping out past the face.

Step 10: Tabby stripes

Draw 3 short stripes down from the top of the head, and a curved stripe on each side.

Step 11: Lasagna dish

Left of the back paw, draw a low dish with a wavy lasagna on top. Add a wavy line across.

Step 12: Cream tummy, tan dish

Colour the tummy, paws and noodles cream, and colour the dish tan.

Step 13: Orange fur, red sauce

Colour the fur orange around the cream and pink, and the sauce red. Leave the eyes white.
