How to Draw a Laptop
Draw a laptop in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the lid.
Step 1: The lid
Start below the middle on the left. Draw a big upside-down U, wider than tall, stopping level on the right.
Tip The lid is more than half the laptop. Leave room under it.
Step 2: Hinge and keyboard
Close the lid with 2 lines for the hinge. From its ends slant sides down to a flat bottom.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Above the middle of the lid draw 2 big egg eyes, a finger apart, with black dots and white shines.
Step 4: Screen and camera
Draw a rounded rectangle round the eyes for the screen, a finger inside the lid. Add a camera dot above.
Step 5: A big smile
Draw a rainbow from under the left eye to the right eye. Hang a U under it with a tongue.
Step 6: Rosy cheeks
Below the outside of each eye draw a small sideways oval cheek, not touching anything.
Step 7: Front edge and desk
Start above the bottom left corner. Draw a line across to the right corner. Add a desk line below.
Step 8: Top row of keys
Start under the left of the screen, below the hinge. Draw 4 wide pill keys across to the right.
Step 9: More keys and spacebar
Under the top row draw 3 more pills, one under each gap. Then draw one long pill for the spacebar.
Step 10: Stickers
On the left of the keyboard draw a 5-point star sticker. On the right draw a heart the same size.
Step 11: Pink and yellow
Colour the cheeks, tongue and heart pink, and the star yellow.
Step 12: Sky blue screen
Colour the screen sky blue, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes and mouth white.
Step 13: Purple and navy
Colour the laptop purple around the screen, keys and stickers, and the hinge and edge navy. Go over your lines.
