How to Draw a Kohlrabi
Draw a kohlrabi in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ball.
Step 1: The ball
Below the middle of your paper draw a big squat ball, a bit wider than tall, with a flat bottom.
Tip A kohlrabi is a ball with stalks poking out of its sides.
Step 2: Two big eyes
A little above the middle of the ball draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each eye.
Step 4: Two top stalks
From the top of the ball draw 2 stalks reaching up, one leaning left, one right. Fatter at the bottom.
Step 5: Two side stalks
From each side of the ball, level with the eyes, draw a stalk curving out and up.
Step 6: Four leaves
On the end of each stalk draw a big oval leaf with a pointy tip.
Step 7: Leaf veins
Start where each stalk meets its leaf. Draw a line up the middle of the leaf. Stop near the tip.
Step 8: The ground
Draw the ground line from far left to far right, just touching the bottom of the ball.
Step 9: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Green stalks and leaves
Colour the leaves light green and the stalks a darker green.
Step 11: Purple ball
Colour the ball purple, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Your kohlrabi is done!
