How to Draw a Strawberry Cake
Draw a strawberry cake in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top layer.
Step 1: Top layer
Draw a flat oval with 5 bumps along the front. From each end, draw a side down to a curve.
Tip A cake layer is a short round can with frosting bumps over the front.
Step 2: Top layer drips
Under the left and right bumps, draw a narrow U drip with a round blob at the bottom.
Step 3: Strawberry on top
On the top oval, draw a plump heart, point down. Add a 3-leaf cap and 5 tiny seeds.
Step 4: Big bottom layer
Draw a bigger bumpy oval round the top layer. From each end, draw a side down to a curve.
Tip 7 big bumps in front; skip the part hidden behind the top layer.
Step 5: Drippy icing
Under the 3 middle bumps of the big layer, draw long narrow U drips with round blobs, all different lengths.
Step 6: Two strawberries
On the ledge by each corner of the top layer, draw a small strawberry with a cap and 3 seeds.
Step 7: Plate and table
Draw an oval plate behind the cake. Add a line from far left to far right, touching the plate's bottom.
Tip The plate is wider than the cake; its back hides behind the cake.
Step 8: Sprinkles
On the big layer's ledge, draw 5 tiny tilted jelly bean sprinkles. Add 2 more on the top layer's icing.
Step 9: Pink icing, tan cake
Colour the icing tops, bumps and drips pink around the sprinkles and strawberries. Colour the sides under the drips tan.
Step 10: Red strawberries, green caps
Colour the 3 strawberries red around the seeds, and their caps green. Leave the sprinkles and plate white.
