How to Draw an English Muffin
Draw an English muffin in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
In the middle of your paper draw a long flat oval plate with a second oval inside it.
Tip The plate comes first; the food sits inside the rim.
Step 2: Left half
Left of middle draw a flat oval on the plate. Draw a thin side under it from end to end.
Tip This is a muffin half, cut side up.
Step 3: Right half
To the right, a little higher, draw the other half the same way, its thin side from end to end.
Tip Tuck it behind the left half: lift your pencil where they overlap.
Step 4: A whole muffin
Behind them draw a whole muffin: a flat oval top, then short puffy sides from its ends to the halves.
Step 5: Nooks and crannies
On the 2 cut faces lightly draw a few small oval holes, not in rows, for nooks and crannies.
Step 6: Cornmeal and shine
On the whole muffin's top draw 5 tiny dots for cornmeal, and a short curved shine near the left edge.
Step 7: A pat of butter
On the right half draw a small pat of butter: a tilted diamond top and 2 short sides under it.
Step 8: The table
Draw a table line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.
Step 9: Cream faces, yellow butter
Go over your lines, then colour the 2 cut faces cream around the holes, and the butter yellow.
Step 10: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, around the muffins.
Step 11: Tan muffins
Colour the whole muffin and the 2 thin sides tan.
Step 12: Tan holes
Colour the little holes tan too, and your English muffin is done!
