How to Draw a Kobold

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a kobold in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big egg head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Big egg head

Near the top, draw a big head wider than tall, with fat round cheeks and a small chin.

Tip The head is almost half of the whole kobold.

  2. Step 2: Horns and ears

On top of the head draw 2 curved horns leaning apart. On each side draw a pointy ear.

Tip Each horn is like a banana standing on end.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

Just above the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes. Add black dots with shines.

  4. Step 4: Snout and nostrils

Under the eyes draw a wide oval snout. Add 2 small dot nostrils near its top.

Tip Keep a gap between the snout and the eyes.

  5. Step 5: Smile and fangs

Start on the snout's left edge. Draw a smile across to the right edge. Hang 2 tiny fangs.

  6. Step 6: Body and tummy

Under the cheeks, draw a big pear body, widest low down. Add an egg tummy with 2 curved bands.

  7. Step 7: Arms and fists

From each side of the body, draw a bent arm poking out. Add a round fist with 2 finger lines.

Tip Arms are fat at the shoulder and thinner at the wrist.

  8. Step 8: Legs and feet

Low on each side of the body, draw a short leg poking out. Under it, draw a round flat foot.

  9. Step 9: Lizard tail

On the right of the body, draw a thick tail curving out and up, getting thinner to a point.

Tip Fat at the body, thin at the tip.

  10. Step 10: Toes and ground

Add 2 short toe lines on each foot. Then draw a long ground line under the feet.

  11. Step 11: Sandy tummy, snout

Go over your lines. Colour the tummy and the snout a pale sandy colour. Leave the fangs white.

  12. Step 12: Orange skin

Colour the head, ears, body, arms, legs and tail orange. Leave the eyes white.

  13. Step 13: Brown horns

Colour the 2 horns brown. Your kobold is done!
