How to Draw a Page Border
Draw a page border in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: outside line.
Step 1: Outside line
Draw a big rectangle with rounded corners, a thumb in from every edge of your page.
Tip A page border frames what you draw inside, so keep the middle empty.
Step 2: Inside line
Inside it draw a second rectangle a finger in all the way round, so the border is an even band.
Step 3: Top corner hearts
Draw a heart on the band in the top left corner and another in the top right corner.
Step 4: Bottom corner hearts
Draw 2 more hearts on the bottom corners to match.
Step 5: Stars top and bottom
In the middle of the top band draw a little 5-point star. Draw another in the bottom band.
Step 6: Stars on the sides
Draw a star in the middle of the left band and one in the middle of the right band.
Step 7: Dots top and bottom
Along the top band draw 2 small dots between each heart and the star. Do the same along the bottom.
Step 8: Dots down the sides
Do the same down the left and right bands: 2 dots between each heart and the star.
Step 9: Yellow stars and dots
Colour the 4 stars and all 16 little dots yellow.
Step 10: Red hearts
Colour the 4 corner hearts red.
Step 11: Teal band
Go over your lines. Colour the band teal, around the hearts, stars and dots. Leave the middle white.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a page border, drawn by you.
