How to Draw a Koala on Tree
Draw a koala on tree in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big head.
Step 1: Big head
On the right, near the top, draw a big wide oval head.
Tip Leave room on the left for the tree.
Step 2: Fluffy ears
On each side, draw a huge fluffy ear from the head and back to it. Add an oval inside.
Tip Koala ears are huge and fluffy, like pom-poms.
Step 3: Round eyes
Below the middle of the head, draw 2 round eyes with black dots and a tiny white shine.
Tip Leave room between the eyes for a big nose.
Step 4: Spoon nose and smile
Between the eyes, draw a big tall oval nose, coloured black. Under it, draw a small upside-down rainbow smile.
Step 5: Tree trunk
Draw a flat oval, top left. From each end, draw a long line down to a root. Add the ground.
Tip The right line hides behind the ear and cheek. Flare the bottoms out into roots.
Step 6: Round body
Start under the left cheek. Draw a big round body down over the trunk edge and up to the right cheek.
Tip The tummy presses against the trunk.
Step 7: Hugging arm
From under the chin, draw a thick arm across the trunk to its far edge and back. Add 2 claw lines.
Tip The paw wraps round the far edge of the trunk.
Step 8: Gripping leg
Lower down, draw a fat leg from the bottom across the trunk and back. Add 2 claw lines.
Step 9: Leafy branch
On the left of the trunk, draw a thin branch going up. Add 3 long pointed leaves along it.
Step 10: Bark marks
Draw 4 short curved lines up and down the trunk, and a little oval knot.
Step 11: Cream and tan
Colour the inside of each ear cream. Colour the oval top of the trunk tan.
Step 12: Grey fur
Colour the koala grey, around the cream ear middles. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Green and brown
Go over your lines. Colour the leaves green and the trunk and branch brown, around the koala.
