How to Draw a Bird Footprint
Draw a bird footprint in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: three toes forward.
Step 1: Three toes forward
Draw 3 thin pointy toes fanning up, like a fork. Start low on the left, stop low on the right.
Tip One wiggly line: up, tip, down, up, tip, down, up, tip, down.
Step 2: The back toe
From the left end, draw a short pointy back toe down and back up to the right end.
Step 3: A second print
Down to the right, draw a smaller print. Start low on the left, stop low on the right.
Step 4: Its back toe
Start at its left end, draw a short pointy back toe down and back up to the right end.
Step 5: Edge of the sand
Near the top, draw a soft wavy line from edge to edge. All the paper below it is sand.
Step 6: A grass tuft
On the wavy line near the left edge, draw 3 grass blades growing up and leaning apart.
Step 7: Two pebbles
Draw 2 small oval pebbles on the sand, one at the top right and one at the bottom left.
Step 8: Sand colour
Colour all the sand below the wavy line, going around the prints and pebbles.
Step 9: Brown prints
Colour both footprints brown, back toes too.
Step 10: Grey pebbles
Colour the 2 pebbles grey. Go over your lines and your bird footprints are done!
