How to Draw a Kitchen Timer
Draw a kitchen timer in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the egg.
Step 1: The egg
In the middle of your paper draw a big egg standing up, a little narrower at the top.
Step 2: The twist line
Start on the left side of the egg, halfway down. Draw a gentle curve across, ending on the right side.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the bottom half draw 2 big egg eyes side by side. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, and a small oval cheek on each side of it.
Step 5: Tick marks
Round the top half draw a curved row of short dashes, like a rainbow, for the minutes.
Step 6: The pointer
From the middle of the egg draw a thin tall triangle pointing straight up to the tick marks.
Step 7: The hub
At the bottom of the pointer draw a small round dot, like a button.
Step 8: Ground line
Start near the left edge and draw a straight ground line touching the egg's bottom, stopping near the right edge.
Step 9: Two sparkles
Draw 2 little 4-point sparkles, one on each side of the timer, to make it shine.
Step 10: Cream top
Go over your lines, then colour the top half cream, around the pointer and hub.
Step 11: Sparkles and cheeks
Colour the 2 sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Red bottom
Colour the bottom half red around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Slate pointer
Colour the pointer and hub slate grey.
