How to Draw Mary Janes
Draw mary janes in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the first shoe.
Step 1: The first shoe
On the left draw a tall shoe from above: a narrow round heel on top, a wide round toe below.
Tip Mary Janes are round-toed shoes with one strap and a buckle.
Step 2: The second shoe
Beside it, on the right, draw the same shoe again. Leave a small gap between them.
Step 3: Big eyes
Low down on each shoe, on the wide toe, draw 2 round eyes. Colour a black dot in each.
Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each eye.
Step 4: Happy smiles
Under each pair of eyes draw a small U smile.
Step 5: Foot openings
Inside each shoe draw a long egg from the heel down to just above the eyes, for the foot opening.
Tip Keep an even rim all the way round the heel.
Step 6: Straps
Across the middle of each opening, draw a flat strap box from side to side of the shoe.
Step 7: Buckles
On the outer end of each strap draw a small square buckle, a little taller than the strap.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw a little 4-point sparkle in the air on each side of the shoes.
Step 9: Cream and yellow
Colour inside the foot openings cream, around the straps. Colour the buckles and sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour a small pink oval cheek beside each eye, low down near the smile.
Step 11: Red shoes
Colour both shoes and their straps red, around the cheeks and buckles. Leave the eyes white.
