How to Draw a Hard Hat
Draw a hard hat in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tall dome.
Step 1: The tall dome
Start above the middle, on the left. Draw a tall dome like an upside-down bowl; stop level with the start.
Step 2: The ridge
Draw a strip poking over the top and down the front, round at the end. Rub out the line inside.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the dome, below the ridge, draw 2 big egg eyes, 1 each side. Add a black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek at each end.
Step 5: The brim
Start at the dome's bottom-left. Draw a short brim out, dipping low at the front. Stop at the bottom-right.
Step 6: Brim edge
A finger in from the bottom of the brim, draw a matching smile curve from end to end.
Step 7: Sparkles and a table
Draw a sparkle star off the top-right and a smaller one off the left. Add a table line below.
Step 8: Pink cheeks, sparkles
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink and the 2 sparkles yellow.
Step 9: Yellow hat
Colour the dome and the brim yellow, going round the ridge, eyes and cheeks.
Tip Keep the eyes white.
Step 10: Orange ridge
Colour the ridge strip orange, and your hard hat is done!
