How to Draw a Kinkajou
Draw a kinkajou in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top, a little left of the middle, draw a big round head, wider than it is tall.
Tip Leave room on the right for the long tail.
Step 2: Round ears
On each side of the head, above the middle, draw a small round ear with a smaller circle inside.
Tip The ears sit on the sides, not on top.
Step 3: Big eyes
Across the middle of the head draw 2 big round eyes. Add a big black dot and a white shine in each.
Step 4: Muzzle and smile
Below the eyes draw a wide oval muzzle. Inside it, at the top, draw a nose and a small w smile.
Tip Keep a gap between the eyes and the muzzle.
Step 5: Round body
Start on the left cheek. Draw a big C down and along the bottom, up to the right cheek.
Tip The body is a little narrower than the head.
Step 6: Front legs
Below the chin, draw 2 legs, thinner at the ankle, into fat mitten paws. Add toe lines.
Step 7: Back legs
On each side, draw a bun back paw with a plump C leg above it.
Step 8: Curly tail
Start behind the right back leg. Draw a long thick tail sweeping out and up, curling in at the tip.
Tip The tail is as long as the whole kinkajou. It gets a little thinner toward the tip.
Step 9: Ground line
Draw a long ground line under the paws and the tail.
Step 10: Cream and peach
Go over your lines. Colour the muzzle cream around the nose, and the inside of each ear peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Golden fur
Colour the head, ears, body, legs and tail golden brown, around the muzzle and the ear insides.
