How to Draw a Cheerleader

Draw a cheerleader in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.

Step 1: Egg head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room above and beside the head for the raised arms.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 round eyes with dots, shines and a tiny lash each. Add a U nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Hair and fringe
Start left by the eyebrows. Draw hair over the head, down to the right, and a curved fringe across.
Step 4: Ponytail
Start on the hair, top right. Draw a fat ponytail down to a round end, back to the hair.
Step 5: Neck and top
From the chin, draw 2 neck lines down to a top with sleeves. Add a star on the chest.
Tip The sleeves point up toward the raised arms.
Step 6: Pleated skirt
Draw a skirt from the waist down to a bumpy hem. Add 4 short pleat lines up from the hem.
Step 7: Arms in a V
From each sleeve, draw 2 lines up and out, bending a little and narrowing, stopping at the wrist.
Step 8: Pom-poms
On each wrist, draw a pom-pom: a big round ball of bumps like a fluffy cloud, hiding the hand.
Step 9: Legs
For each leg, start under the skirt. Draw 2 lines down, stopping a little above the bottom of the page.
Tip Each leg is narrower at the ankle.
Step 10: Sneakers and ground
Under each leg, draw a sneaker, toe pointing out, with a toe cap and laces. Add a ground line.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, peach skin
Colour 2 pink cheeks. Colour the face, neck, arms and legs peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Yellow pom-poms and star
Colour the pom-poms and the star yellow. Leave the sneakers white.
Step 13: Brown hair, red top
Colour the hair and ponytail brown. Colour the top and skirt red around the star. Your cheerleader is done!
