How to Draw a Kid
Draw a kid in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head. Leave room below for the body.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Just below the middle of the head, draw 2 big oval eyes with dots, and a small U nose.
Step 3: Smile and ears
Draw a smile under the nose. Add a C ear on each side, starting and stopping on the head.
Step 4: Baseball cap
Draw a round cap over the top of the head, a wide half-moon brim across the forehead and a button.
Tip Make the brim wider than the cap so it sticks out on both sides.
Step 5: Neck and T-shirt
Draw 2 neck lines. From them, draw a T-shirt with short sleeves, back to the neck. Add 2 stripe lines.
Step 6: Arms
From each sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending a little at the elbow and getting thinner.
Step 7: Mitten hands
Start at the outer arm line's end. Draw a round mitten with a thumb bump, ending on the inner line.
Step 8: Shorts
Start at the bottom left of the T-shirt. Draw shorts with a point between the legs, up to the right.
Step 9: Legs
Start under the shorts and draw 2 lines for each leg, thinner at the ankle. Stop where the shoes go.
Step 10: Sneakers and ground
Under each leg, draw a chunky sneaker with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, ears, neck, arms, hands and legs peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Yellow shirt, blue shorts
Colour the T-shirt yellow above and below the stripe, and the shorts blue.
Step 13: Red cap and sneakers
Colour the cap, the stripe and the sneakers red. Go over your lines and your kid is done!
