How to Draw a Kawaii Raccoon

Step 1: Huge round head

Draw a big wide head like a soft bun. Make it fill the top half of your paper.

Tip Keep it a little to the left, so there is room for the tail.

Step 2: Round ears

On each top corner of the head draw a rounded ear. Draw a small teardrop inside each.

Step 3: Big sparkly eyes

Draw 2 big oval eyes in the middle of the head. Fill them black, leaving 2 shines and a rim.

Tip Leave a thin white rim round the black. Put the big shine at the top right of both eyes.

Step 4: Eye mask

Round each eye draw a big bean patch, slanting down to the cheek. Leave a gap between the patches.

Tip The two patches make the raccoon's mask.

Step 5: Muzzle and nose

Low between the patches draw a sideways oval. Add a little black nose and a tiny W smile inside.

Step 6: Tiny body

Start under the head. Draw a small pear body down to a flat bottom, and back up.

Tip Keep the body about half as wide as the head.

Step 7: Front paws

On the tummy draw 2 legs, slimmer at the ankle, down to round paws. Add 2 toe lines each.

Step 8: Back feet

Beside each front paw draw a bun foot poking out from the body. Add a toe line.

Step 9: Fat tail

Start behind the right foot. Draw a fat tail along the ground, curving up to a round tip.

Tip A fat tail looks fluffy, so make it nearly as wide as a paw.

Step 10: Tail rings and ground

Draw 4 lines across the tail to make wide rings. Draw a long ground line under your raccoon.

Step 11: Pink cheeks and ears

Colour a pink oval on each cheek, under the mask. Colour the insides of the ears pink.

Step 12: Grey fur

Colour the fur grey. On the tail colour only the second and fourth rings. Leave the mask and muzzle white.

Step 13: Black mask and rings

Colour the patches black around the eyes. Colour the 3 white tail rings black, right to the tip.

Tip Leave the eyes white with their shines. Your kawaii raccoon is done!
