11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a kawaii cherry in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two cherries.

Print

  1. Step 1: Two cherries

Draw 2 round cherries side by side, each with a little dip in the top. Leave a small gap.

Tip Make both cherries the same size.

  2. Step 2: Two stems

Start in each dip. Draw a thin stem up that leans to the middle. Join them at the top.

Tip Draw 2 lines close together for each stem.

  3. Step 3: Shiny eyes

On each cherry draw 2 oval eyes. Colour them black, but leave 2 white shines in each.

Tip Put the eyes below the middle, wide apart.

  4. Step 4: Tiny smiles

Between the eyes of each cherry, a little lower, draw a tiny U smile.

  5. Step 5: Pointed leaf

Start at the top of the stems. Draw a leaf out to the right with a pointed tip.

  6. Step 6: Leaf line

Start at the stems. Draw 1 line along the middle of the leaf. Stop before the tip.

  7. Step 7: Shine marks

Near the top left of each cherry draw 1 small leaning oval for a shine.

Tip The shine marks stay white.

  8. Step 8: Ground line

Under the cherries draw a flat ground line, from the left to the right.

  9. Step 9: Rosy cheeks

Below the eyes colour a small pink oval on each cheek.

Tip Press lightly so the cheeks stay soft.

  10. Step 10: Stems and leaf

Colour the 2 stems brown. Colour the leaf green.

  11. Step 11: Red cherries

Colour both cherries red, around the cheeks and the shine marks. Your kawaii cherries are done!
