How to Draw a Pita Pocket

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a pita pocket in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.

Print

  1. Step 1: A plate

Near the bottom draw a long flat oval for a plate, then a second oval just inside it.

  2. Step 2: The pita

On the plate draw a big half circle, flat side up, tipped so the right corner is higher.

Tip A pita pocket is half a round flatbread, opened up and stuffed. Rub out the plate lines inside it.

  3. Step 3: Meat chunks

Along the flat edge draw 2 soft meat chunks poking up: one in the middle, one smaller near the right.

  4. Step 4: Tomato slices

On the left of each chunk draw a tomato slice poking up: a half circle, round side up.

Tip Stop each slice where it meets the chunk's line.

  5. Step 5: Frilly lettuce

From the left corner draw frilly lettuce bumps behind the meat and tomato, over to the right corner.

  6. Step 6: Toasty spots

On the pita draw 3 little ovals for toasty spots, each a different size.

  7. Step 7: The table

Draw a line under the plate from well left to well right.

  8. Step 8: Tan pita, sky plate

Go over your lines, then colour the pita tan but leave the spots white, and the plate sky blue.

  9. Step 9: Green lettuce, red tomato

Colour the lettuce green and the tomato slices red.

  10. Step 10: Brown meat, golden spots

Colour the meat brown and the toasty spots golden brown, and your pita pocket is done!
