How to Draw Jupiter
Draw Jupiter in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the planet.
Step 1: The planet
In the middle of your paper draw a big round planet, nearly filling the page. Leave the corners free.
Step 2: Two big eyes
A little above the middle draw 2 big eggy eyes, one eye apart. Add black dots with tiny shines.
Step 3: A big smile
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from one eye to the other, with the ends turning up.
Step 4: Top bands
Above the eyes draw a wide band: 2 sagging lines from edge to edge. Add a thin band above it.
Step 5: Bottom bands
Below the smile draw a wide band: 2 sagging lines from edge to edge. Add a thin band below it.
Step 6: The big red spot
Inside the bottom band, on the right, draw a small sideways oval: Jupiter's famous big spot.
Step 7: A little moon
In the top right corner draw a little round moon, well away from the planet.
Step 8: Three little stars
In the other 3 corners draw a small 5-point star, away from the planet.
Step 9: Sand planet, pink cheeks
Colour the planet sand, skipping the 4 bands. Leave the eyes white. Add 2 pink cheeks under the eyes.
Step 10: Yellow moon and stars
Colour the little moon and the 3 stars yellow.
Step 11: Orange bands, red spot
Colour the 4 bands orange, going round the big spot. Colour the spot red. Jupiter is done!
