How to Draw a Juneteenth Flag
Draw a Juneteenth flag in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pole.
Step 1: The pole
Near the left side draw a tall thin pole, from the ground up to near the top.
Tip The Juneteenth flag has a star bursting over a new horizon.
Step 2: A ball on top
On the top of the pole draw a little round ball.
Step 3: The flag
Start on the pole near the top. Draw a big waving flag out right, down, and back to the pole.
Step 4: The horizon arc
Across the middle of the flag draw a gentle arc bowing up, from the pole to the right end.
Step 5: A star
On the arc, in the middle of the flag, draw a 5-point star.
Step 6: A burst
Round the star draw a bigger burst: a ring of 12 little points, in and out, all the way round.
Step 7: Ground and grass
Draw the ground line under the pole from left to right, with a few grass blades beside it.
Step 8: Blue top
Go over your lines, then colour the flag above the arc blue, leaving the burst and star white.
Step 9: Red bottom
Colour the flag below the arc red, going around the burst.
Step 10: Brown pole
Colour the pole and its ball brown. Your Juneteenth flag is done!
