How to Draw Carol Singers
Draw carol singers in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two heads.
Step 1: Two heads
Draw 2 round heads side by side, the left one bigger and higher. Leave a wide gap between them.
Tip Leave room above for hats and below for coats.
Step 2: Singing faces
On each face, draw 2 oval eyes with a white shine, and a round open mouth.
Tip Keep the mouth in the middle, well below the eyes.
Step 3: Bobble hats
Across each forehead, draw a curved hat band. Add a dome on top with a round bobble.
Tip Rub out the top of each head inside its hat.
Step 4: Warm scarves
Under each mouth, draw a thick curved scarf with round ends, a little wider than the head.
Tip Rub out the chin line inside each scarf.
Step 5: Winter coats
From each scarf, draw round shoulders and puffy sleeves, then straight down. Stop near the bottom.
Tip Both sides of a coat stop at the same height.
Step 6: Song sheets
In front of each coat, draw a big song sheet with a black music note on it.
Tip Rub out the coat lines inside each sheet.
Step 7: Mittens and sleeves
Draw a mitten on each bottom corner of the sheets. Curve a sleeve line from each scarf end to it.
Tip Each mitten has a thumb pointing in, over the sheet.
Step 8: The lantern
Between the heads, draw a lantern: a pointed roof on a glass box, with a flame inside.
Tip Keep a gap between the lantern and each hat.
Step 9: Lantern post
Start under the glass box. Draw a long post straight down and stop level with the coat ends.
Step 10: Snowy ground
Start on the left. Draw a wavy snow line across the coats and the post. Stop on the right.
Step 11: Peach faces
Colour both faces peach. Leave the hat bands and song sheets white.
Step 12: Lantern light
Colour the lantern glass yellow and the flame orange.
Step 13: Red and green
Colour the left hat, mittens and both mouths red, the left scarf green. Swap red and green on the right.
Step 14: Blue coats, brown post
Go over your lines. Colour both coats blue around the sheets, and the lantern roof and post brown.
