How to Draw a Drummer
Draw a drummer in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body, drum and legs.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle of the head, draw 2 big oval eyes with black dots. Add a nose and a smile.
Step 3: Headband
Just above the eyes, draw a band across the forehead, side to side, with 2 tails off the right.
Step 4: Neck and T-shirt
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one, draw a T-shirt with short sleeves, ending at the right.
Step 5: Bent arms
From each sleeve, draw an arm out to a round elbow, then back in to the wrist, getting thinner.
Step 6: Fists
On each wrist, draw a fist pointing down and in, round like an egg with a thumb bump.
Step 7: Drumsticks
From the front of each fist, draw a thin stick pointing down and in, a little longer than the fist.
Step 8: Drum and straps
Under the sticks, draw a fat drum, oval on top. From each shoulder, draw a strap down to the drum.
Step 9: Trousers
Start at the shirt's bottom left corner. Draw 2 long trouser legs down, and stop at the right corner.
Step 10: Shoes and ground
Under each leg, draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.
Step 11: Peach skin
Colour the head, neck, arms and fists peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red shirt, brown sticks
Colour the shirt and headband red, going around the straps, and the drumsticks brown.
Step 13: Drum, trousers, shoes
Colour the drum yellow, leaving the top white. Colour the trousers and straps navy, and the shoes black. Done!
