How to Draw a Beard
Draw a beard in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw a big soft egg for the head, round cheeks and a narrower chin.
Tip Make it big: the beard hangs below the chin.
Step 2: 2 ears
On each side of the head, start on the head and draw a C ear, back to the head.
Step 3: Big eyes
Below the middle of the head draw 2 big tall eyes, one eye apart. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 4: Nose, smile and brows
Draw a tiny U nose. From under the left eye draw a smile to the right eye. Add 2 eyebrows.
Step 5: The beard
From the left ear draw a bumpy beard under the chin to the right ear, then back round the mouth.
Step 6: Moustache
A little below the nose draw a fat sideways teardrop out to the left, and another to the right.
Step 7: Hair cap
Start on the left of the head by the ear. Draw hair tufts over the top, down to the right.
Step 8: Beard strands
Inside the beard draw 3 short curved lines hanging down, one under each cheek and one under the chin.
Step 9: The shirt
From each side of the beard draw a shoulder sloping down and out, then join them along the bottom.
Step 10: Peach skin, green shirt
Go over your lines. Colour the face and ears peach, not the moustache, and the shirt green.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Brown hair and beard
Colour the hair, the beard and the moustache brown, and you are done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a beard, drawn by you.
