How to Draw a Concert Stage

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a concert stage in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the stage floor.

Print

  1. Step 1: The stage floor

Low on your paper, draw the stage floor: a long flat box, a little narrower at the back.

Tip A shorter back edge makes the floor look like it goes back.

  2. Step 2: The stage front

Under the floor, draw a long box the same width as the front edge, for the front of the stage.

  3. Step 3: The left speaker

On the left of the stage, draw a tall box speaker standing on the floor, twice as tall as wide.

  4. Step 4: The right speaker

Draw the same tall box on the right side of the stage for the other speaker.

  5. Step 5: Speaker cones

In each speaker, draw 2 big circles one above the other, with a small circle in the middle of each.

  6. Step 6: The mic stand

In the middle of the stage, draw a thin tall mic stand with a flat oval base at its foot.

  7. Step 7: The microphone

On top of the stand, draw an egg shape for the microphone head, with 2 curved lines across it.

  8. Step 8: The lighting bar

Across the top of the paper, draw a long thin lighting bar, with a little box spotlight under each end.

  9. Step 9: Light beams

Draw 2 slanted lines from each spotlight down to the stage, going behind the speakers and the mic stand.

  10. Step 10: Stars and notes

Draw 2 sparkle stars up between the light beams, and a music note beside the top of each speaker.

  11. Step 11: Cream beams, blue notes

Go over your lines, then colour the light beams cream, very lightly, and the music notes blue.

  12. Step 12: Wooden stage

Colour the stage floor wood brown, around the mic base, and the stage front brown.

  13. Step 13: Grey and black

Colour the cone rings, mic head and lighting bar grey. Colour the speakers, stand and spotlights black around them.
