How to Draw a Crayon
Draw a crayon in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tip.
Step 1: The tip
Near the top, draw a short flat line. From each end, slant up to a small flat top.
Tip Make the line about 3 fingers wide.
Step 2: The body
From each end of the flat line, draw a long line straight down. Join them at the bottom.
Tip The body is more than twice as tall as the tip.
Step 3: A happy face
Halfway down the body, draw 2 big round eyes with black dots. Under them, draw a wide U smile.
Step 4: The collar
Just under the flat line, draw a collar line across the body. Start on the left, stop on the right.
Step 5: The label
Above the face, draw a wavy line from one side across to the other. Draw another below the face.
Step 6: Sparkles
Draw 4 sparkle stars around the crayon, like plus signs with curvy dips.
Step 7: Ground line
Draw a ground line under the crayon, from left to right.
Step 8: Pink cheeks, yellow stars
Colour a small pink oval beside each end of the smile. Colour the sparkle stars yellow.
Step 9: Red crayon
Colour the tip and the body red, leaving the label white.
Step 10: Dark red band
Colour the thin band under the tip dark red. Go over your lines and your crayon is done!
