How to Draw Jelly

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw jelly in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top dome.

Print

  1. Step 1: The top dome

Above the middle, start low on the left and draw a small upside-down U dome. Stop level on the right.

  2. Step 2: The middle tier

Start at each end of the dome and draw a round shoulder out and down. Stop, leaving the bottom open.

Tip Do not draw a line across under the top dome.

  3. Step 3: The bottom tier

From the ends of the middle tier draw the widest tier the same way, closed flat along the bottom.

  4. Step 4: Ridges

Down each tier draw curved ridge lines: 2 on the top tier, 3 on the middle, 4 on the bottom.

  5. Step 5: Cherry on top

Sit a round cherry on the top dome. From its top draw a short stem curving up to the right.

  6. Step 6: The plate

Draw a flat oval plate behind and under the bottom tier, lifting your pencil where it would cross the jelly.

  7. Step 7: Wobble lines

On each side of the jelly draw 2 short curved lines in the air, one outside the other.

  8. Step 8: Shines

Draw a thin oval shine inside the left side of the cherry, the middle tier and the bottom tier.

  9. Step 9: The table

Draw a line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.

  10. Step 10: Sky blue plate

Go over your lines, then colour the plate sky blue.

  11. Step 11: Red jelly and cherry

Colour the jelly and the cherry red, leaving the shines white.
