How to Draw Carbonara
Draw carbonara in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Below the middle draw a very wide oval, wider than your hand, for the top of a shallow bowl.
Step 2: The bowl
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a shallow U down and up to the right end.
Step 3: A stripe
Low on the bowl, draw a bowed line from the left side to the right side, for a stripe.
Step 4: The foot
Under the bowl draw a short stand: start on the bottom left, go down, across, and up to the right.
Step 5: The pasta
Inside the rim draw a second oval a finger in, for the creamy pasta.
Step 6: Strands
Across the pasta draw 4 soft wavy lines that don't touch, each starting and stopping inside the oval.
Tip Carbonara is spaghetti in a creamy egg and cheese sauce.
Step 7: Bacon bits
In the gaps on the pasta, draw 4 small tilted blocks for crispy bacon.
Step 8: Twirl of pasta
At the back of the pasta draw a bumpy ball. Add 3 slanted curves across it and a loose strand.
Step 9: A fork
From the twirl's top draw a long handle up to the right. Below the twirl add the fork's 3 prongs.
Step 10: Steam
Above the left of the bowl draw 2 wiggly steam lines going straight up.
Step 11: The table
Draw a line under the foot from far left to far right, just touching its bottom.
Step 12: Cream pasta
Go over your lines. Colour the pasta and the twirl cream, around the bacon.
Step 13: Pink bacon
Colour the bacon bits pink.
Step 14: Grey fork, blue band
Colour the fork grey and the band above the stripe blue. Leave the rest of the bowl white.
