How to Draw a Janitor
Draw a janitor in 16 steps, about 12 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: 2 eyes
In the middle of the head draw 2 oval eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 3: Nose and moustache
Under the eyes draw a small nose, a bow moustache under it and a smile under the moustache.
Step 4: Ears
Start on the head by each eye, draw a C ear bulging out, and stop back on the head.
Step 5: Flat cap
Draw a flat cap over the top of the head, with a thin brim across the forehead.
Step 6: Neck and shirt
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a shirt with round shoulders, ending at the right one.
Step 7: Overalls bib
On the chest draw a bib box with a strap from each top corner to the neck. Add a pocket.
Step 8: Long sleeves
From each shoulder draw a long sleeve down to a cuff at the wrist.
Tip The left arm hangs out a little: that hand will grip the mop.
Step 9: Hands
On each wrist draw a round hand hanging down, like the bottom of an egg, with a little thumb bump.
Step 10: Mop
Draw a mop handle from above the left shoulder down to the floor, behind the hand, with a floppy head.
Tip The handle passes behind the closed hand, so the hand grips it.
Step 11: Bucket
On the right draw a bucket with an oval rim, 2 wheels and a handle from rim over to rim.
Step 12: Trousers and shoes
From the hem's left end draw 2 trouser legs round to its right end. Add a shoe under each leg.
Step 13: Ground line
Draw a straight ground line under the shoes, from left of the mop to right of the bucket.
Step 14: Peach skin
Go over your lines. Colour the face, neck, ears and hands peach, and leave the eyes and moustache white.
Step 15: Yellow bucket, grey shirt
Colour the bucket yellow, and the wheels, shirt and sleeves grey.
Step 16: Blue and brown
Colour the overalls and cap blue, and the moustache, mop handle and shoes brown. Leave the mop head white.
