How to Draw a Jackfruit

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a jackfruit in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big fruit.

Print

  1. Step 1: The big fruit

Right of the middle and low on your paper, draw a big bumpy egg, taller than it is wide.

Tip Jackfruit is the biggest fruit on any tree.

  2. Step 2: The trunk

Left of the fruit, draw 2 trunk lines. Start flared out near the bottom and stop above the fruit.

  3. Step 3: A short stalk

Start on the trunk and draw a short thick stalk over into the top of the fruit.

  4. Step 4: The leafy top

Over the top of the trunk draw a big round cloud of leafy bumps. Keep it clear of the fruit.

  5. Step 5: Leafy hills

From the left edge of the leaves draw a row of hill bumps across. Stop on the right edge.

  6. Step 6: Skin bumps

Scatter 9 little round bumps on the fruit, well apart and away from the edge.

  7. Step 7: Bark lines

On the trunk under the stalk draw 2 short up-and-down bark lines, one high and one low.

  8. Step 8: Ground and grass

Draw a long ground line under the trunk from well left to well right. Add 2 grass blades each side.

  9. Step 9: Light green fruit

Go over your lines, then colour the jackfruit light green.

  10. Step 10: Dark green leaves

Colour the leafy top dark green.

  11. Step 11: Brown trunk

Colour the trunk and the stalk brown, up to the leaves and the fruit. Your jackfruit is done!
