How to Draw a Lobster Roll
Draw a lobster roll in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the roll.
Step 1: The roll
Across the middle, draw a long low loaf with round ends. Its top edge dips a little in the middle.
Tip A lobster roll is a soft split bun stuffed full of lobster meat.
Step 2: Back of the roll
From the top left corner, draw a low arch over to the top right corner. It dips in the middle.
Step 3: Frilly lettuce
Along the top edge of the roll, draw a row of little round bumps from end to end.
Step 4: Lobster chunks
Above the lettuce, draw 4 round lumpy chunks, 2 on each side of the middle.
Step 5: A claw piece
On top in the middle, draw a curved claw piece lying down, with a V notch at its right end.
Step 6: Chunk tops
Across the top of the 2 end chunks, draw a curved line from one side to the other.
Step 7: A paper boat
Across the bottom of the roll, draw a low paper boat, wider at the top than the bottom.
Step 8: A plate
Behind the boat, draw a big flat oval plate. Add a second oval inside for the rim.
Step 9: A lemon wedge
Below the boat's right side, draw a small half circle, flat side up, with a rind line and 2 segments.
Step 10: The table
Draw a long line under the plate, just touching its bottom.
Step 11: Yellow lemon
Go over your lines. Colour the lemon yellow, and leave the paper boat white.
Step 12: Pink chunks, tan roll
Colour the chunks pink, not the claw or the 2 chunk tops. Then colour the roll tan.
Step 13: Sky plate, green lettuce
Colour the plate sky blue around the boat and lemon, then the lettuce green.
Step 14: Red tops and claw
Colour the 2 chunk tops and the claw piece red. Your lobster roll is done!
