How to Draw a Pie Slice
Draw a pie slice in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
Across the lower middle of your paper draw a flat oval plate, with a smaller oval inside for the rim.
Step 2: The top
On the plate draw a long triangle with its point at the left. Bow the right side out.
Tip Keep the triangle low and flat, like a slice lying down.
Step 3: Bumpy crust
Along the bowed side draw a fat crust of 5 round bumps, from the front corner to the back corner.
Step 4: The cut side
From the point draw a short line down, a long line along the plate, then up to the crust.
Step 5: Crust lines
On the cut side draw 2 lines from end to end: one near the top, one near the bottom.
Step 6: Steam vents
On the top draw 3 short slits in a row, from near the point to near the crust.
Tip The slits let the steam out while the pie bakes.
Step 7: The table
Draw a table line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.
Step 8: Tan crust
Colour the top, the fat crust and the 2 thin crust strips tan. Leave the middle strip white.
Step 9: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, going around the slice.
Step 10: Red filling
Go over your lines, then colour the middle strip red for the filling. Your slice of pie is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a pie slice, drawn by you.
