How to Draw Jack and Jill
Draw Jack and Jill in 17 steps, about 13 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two heads.
Step 1: Two heads
Near the top draw 2 egg heads side by side with a gap between, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave the gap for the pail and the bottom for the hill.
Step 2: Jack's face
On the left head draw 2 small oval eyes with black dots, a tiny U nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Jill's face
On the right head draw 2 round eyes with a tiny lash each, a U nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 4: Hair and pigtails
Draw Jack's tufts from one temple over to the other. Give Jill a fringe and a pigtail on each side.
Step 5: Necks, T-shirt and dress
Add necks. From them draw Jack's T-shirt with a stripe and Jill's dress with a belt, ending in a hem.
Step 6: Arms
From each sleeve draw an arm down to the wrist, bending a little at the elbow and getting thinner.
Tip The 2 inner arms reach into the gap, ready to hold one pail.
Step 7: Hands
At the end of each arm draw a round mitten hand with a thumb bump.
Step 8: The pail
Under the inner hands draw a bucket. Arch a handle from the rim, behind both hands, back to the rim.
Step 9: Shorts and legs
Draw Jack's shorts under the T-shirt. From the shorts and hem draw legs, getting thinner down to the ankle.
Step 10: Shoes
Draw a shoe at the bottom of each leg, toe pointing out: a round heel and a longer round toe.
Step 11: Hill and sun
Start at the bottom left corner. Curve up under the shoes and down to the bottom right. Add a sun.
Step 12: Jack's skin
Colour Jack's face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Keep the eyes white.
Step 13: Jill's skin
Colour Jill's face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Keep the eyes white.
Step 14: Yellow hair and sun
Colour Jill's hair, her belt and the sun yellow.
Step 15: Blue T-shirt, red dress
Colour Jack's T-shirt blue, leaving the stripe white. Colour Jill's dress red, around her belt and arm.
Step 16: Grey pail, green hill
Colour the pail grey and the hill green.
Step 17: Brown hair and shoes
Colour Jack's hair, his shorts and all the shoes brown. Your Jack and Jill are done!
