How to Draw an Italy Map
Draw an italy map in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the wide top.
Step 1: The wide top
Start on the left, a third down. Draw a bumpy hill up and across. Stop just right of the middle.
Tip Italy is shaped like a tall boot. This is the wide top of the boot.
Step 2: The back
Carry on from there. Draw a line in, then slanting down to the right. Stop at a little bump.
Step 3: Down to the heel
Carry on from the bump. Slant down to the right, then turn back at the tip of the heel.
Step 4: The sole and toe
From the heel, draw a dip for the sole. Then bump out and down to the pointed toe.
Step 5: The front
Start at the toe. Draw a bumpy line up the left side, slanting left. Stop about halfway up.
Step 6: Close the boot
Start where you stopped. Carry on up and left, then curve round. Stop where your first line began.
Step 7: First island
Just off the toe, draw an island like a wide triangle. The boot looks ready to kick it!
Step 8: Second island
Out to the left of the boot, draw a tall island like a bean standing up.
Step 9: The mountains
Inside the wide top, draw 3 little triangle mountains in a row, each a bit higher.
Step 10: The capital
Halfway down the boot, near the left coast, draw a small circle for the capital city, Rome.
Step 11: Blue sea
Go over your lines. Colour the sea light blue, all around the land, out to the edges.
Step 12: Green land
Colour the boot and both islands green, around the mountains and the circle.
Step 13: Brown and red
Colour the 3 mountains brown and the capital red. Your map of Italy is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: an italy map, drawn by you.
