How to Draw a Bird Bath
Draw a bird bath in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bowl rim.
Step 1: The bowl rim
A little above the middle of your paper draw a wide flat oval, wider than your hand.
Step 2: The bowl
Start at the left end of the rim. Draw a shallow cup under it and stop at the right end.
Step 3: Stand and foot
Draw 2 lines down from the bowl, flaring out to a wide foot. Add a band under the bowl.
Step 4: Water ripples
Inside the rim draw 2 short curved ripple lines, one near the middle and one to the right.
Step 5: Little bird's head
Above the rim's left end draw a round head with a big eye. Add a pointy beak from the front.
Step 6: Bird's body and tail
From the head's back draw a plump tummy down to the rim and up under the head. Add a tail.
Step 7: Bird's wing
Start under the head. Draw a small teardrop wing round the shoulder and back to a point on the rump.
Step 8: Ground and grass
Draw the ground line from each side of the foot out to the edge. Add grass at each end.
Step 9: Stone bath
Colour the bowl, the stand and the foot grey like stone.
Step 10: Chest and beak
Colour the bird's chest cream and its beak orange.
Step 11: Blue water and head
Colour the water blue around the bird, and the bird's head blue. Leave the eye white.
Step 12: Navy wing and tail
Colour the bird's wing and tail navy. Your bird bath is done!
