How to Draw a Heart with Ribbon
Draw a heart with ribbon in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: ribbon band.
Step 1: Ribbon band
Across the middle of your paper, draw a long band that curves like a smile, with 2 short ends.
Tip Keep the band the same width all the way along.
Step 2: The big heart
Behind the band, draw a big heart: 2 round humps above it and a point below it.
Tip The heart is a bit narrower than the band, so the band pokes out on both sides.
Step 3: Ribbon tails
Start halfway down each band end. Draw a tail out to a V cut, then back to the band's corner.
Step 4: Little folds
From the inside corner of each tail, draw a short line up to the band. It makes a tiny triangle.
Tip The triangle is where the ribbon folds back behind itself.
Step 5: The shine
In the heart's left hump, draw a small tilted oval for a shine.
Step 6: Tiny hearts
Low beside the big heart, draw a tiny heart on each side.
Step 7: Sparkles
High above each ribbon tail, draw a sparkle star with 4 points.
Step 8: Yellow ribbon
Colour the ribbon band, its 2 tails and the sparkles yellow.
Step 9: Pink hearts
Colour the 2 tiny hearts pink.
Step 10: Orange folds
Colour the 2 tiny fold triangles orange.
Step 11: Red heart
Colour the heart red above and below the ribbon, leaving the shine white. Your heart with a ribbon is done!
