How to Draw Ice Cream
Draw ice cream in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cone.
Step 1: The cone
Start below the middle, on the left. Draw down to a round tip, then back up to the same height.
Tip A tall skinny V with a round tip, like an upside-down party hat.
Step 2: Big drippy scoop
Start left of the cone top. Draw 6 fat drips across, then a round top back to your start.
Tip The drips hang over the top edge of the cone.
Step 3: Happy face
Draw 2 big round eyes in the scoop. Start under the left eye, draw a U smile to the right.
Tip Keep the smile above the drips. Add a small oval cheek at each end.
Step 4: Second scoop
Start at each end of the top line. Draw a smaller fat C up, stopping a thumb above the line.
Tip A smaller ball sitting in the dip of the first.
Step 5: Round top
Start at the top of the left C. Draw a plump round hill over to the right C.
Step 6: Cherry on top
Draw a round cherry on the very top. From its top, curve a short stem up to a fat leaf.
Step 7: Waffle lines
Draw 4 lines slanting down across the cone, edge to edge. Cross them with 4 lines slanting the other way.
Tip Space them evenly so the diamonds match.
Step 8: Sprinkles
Draw 6 little tilted ovals on the scoops: 2 beside the eyes, 2 on the second scoop, 2 on top.
Tip Keep them off the face.
Step 9: A melty drip
Start on the wavy lip, left of middle. Draw a long drip down the cone, back up to the lip.
Tip Rub out the waffle lines inside the drip.
Step 10: Yellow sprinkles, peach cheeks
Colour the sprinkles yellow and the cheeks peach. Leave the eyes and the top scoop white.
Step 11: Pink scoop, tan cone
Colour the big scoop and drip pink, around the eyes, cheeks and sprinkles. Colour the cone tan, around the drip.
Step 12: Green leaf, red cherry
Colour the leaf green and the cherry red, leaving a little white shine. Then go over all your lines.
