How to Draw an Ice Cream Tub
Draw an ice cream tub in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tub top.
Step 1: Tub top
A little left of the middle of your paper draw a wide flat oval for the open top.
Step 2: The tub
Start at each end of the oval and draw a line down, leaning in. Join the bottoms with a curve.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle of the tub draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Ice cream heap
Start near the oval's left end. Draw 3 soft bumps over its back and stop near the right end.
Tip Rub out the oval line inside the bumps.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Draw a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 6: The scoop
Inside the ice cream draw a round scoop ball. Add a straight handle rising out to the right.
Step 7: Label band
Just under the top draw a curve across the tub from the left side to the right side.
Step 8: The lid
Right of the tub's bottom draw the lid lying flat: a wide flat oval with a smaller oval inside.
Step 9: The table
From well left of the tub draw a table line under the tub and lid. Stop just past the lid.
Step 10: Pink ice cream
Colour the ice cream pink for strawberry, around the scoop. Colour the cheeks pink too. Leave the label band white.
Step 11: Sky blue tub
Go over your lines, then colour the tub sky blue around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Grey scoop and lid
Colour the scoop and the lid light grey. Your ice cream tub is open for scoops!
