How to Draw an Ice Cream Parlour
Draw an ice cream parlour in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the shop front.
Step 1: The shop front
Draw a big box for the shop, a little left of the middle. Draw a long ground line under it.
Step 2: The roof ledge
Along the top of the box draw a long thin bar that sticks out a little at each end.
Step 3: A giant cone
On the middle of the roof draw a long triangle pointing down. Criss-cross it with 2 slanting lines.
Tip The point of the cone pokes into the ledge.
Step 4: A giant scoop
On top of the cone draw a big round scoop of ice cream with a wavy bottom edge.
Tip Rub out the top of the cone inside the scoop.
Step 5: The awning
Under the ledge draw an awning: 2 short sloping sides, then a bottom edge of 7 bumps.
Tip Rub out the shop's side lines inside the awning.
Step 6: Awning stripes
Draw 6 lines from the top of the awning down to the dips between the bumps.
Step 7: The big window
Under the awning on the left draw a big window. Draw a line across it, low down, for a shelf.
Step 8: Three tubs
On the shelf draw 3 little tubs. On each tub draw a round scoop of ice cream.
Step 9: The door
On the right draw a tall door down to the ground. Give it a round window and a dot handle.
Step 10: The sign board
Beside the shop draw a small board on 2 legs. On it draw a cone with a round scoop.
Tip A picture of a cone tells everyone what the shop sells, without any words.
Step 11: Cream walls
Colour the shop walls and the sign board cream. Colour the middle scoop in the window cream too.
Step 12: Pink scoops, tan cones
Colour the giant scoop, the sign's scoop and the left window scoop pink. Colour both cones tan.
Step 13: Blue glass, red trim
Colour the window glass light blue. Colour the ledge, 4 awning stripes and the 3 tubs red.
Step 14: Brown door
Colour the door, the right scoop and the part under the shelf brown. Your ice cream parlour is open!
