How to Draw a Rabbit Hutch

Draw a rabbit hutch in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: long flat roof.

Step 1: Long flat roof
Near the top draw a long flat roof: a thin shape, a little wider at the bottom.
Step 2: Hutch box
Start under the roof near its left end. Draw a wall down, a floor across and a wall up.
Tip The roof sticks out past both walls.
Step 3: Legs and ground
Start at the floor and draw a short leg down at each end. Draw the ground under them, with grass.
Step 4: Arched doorway
On the right of the box draw a big doorway standing on the floor, with a round top.
Step 5: Wire window
On the left of the box draw a big square window. Leave wood all round it.
Step 6: Wire mesh
Inside the window draw 4 slanted lines one way, then 4 the other way, to make wire diamonds.
Tip Every line runs from one edge of the window to another edge.
Step 7: Rabbit head
In the doorway draw the rabbit's wide round head. Add 2 long ears, with a smaller ear inside each.
Tip Leave a gap between the ear tips and the arch.
Step 8: Rabbit face
Draw 2 big eyes with black dots and shines. Add a tiny triangle nose and a w mouth.
Step 9: Body and paws
From each cheek curve down to the floor. Draw 2 small round paws on the floor under the chin.
Step 10: The ramp
From the doorway floor draw a ramp down to the ground, wider at the bottom. Add 2 slats.
Step 11: Straw and pink
Colour behind the wire straw yellow. Colour the ear middles and nose pink. Leave the rabbit white.
Step 12: Wooden walls
Colour the walls light brown, around the wire window and the doorway.
Step 13: Roof, legs and ramp
Colour the roof green. Colour the 2 legs and the ramp dark brown.
Step 14: Dark doorway
Colour the doorway dark grey, around the rabbit. Go over your lines!
