How to Draw an Ice Cream Cake
Draw an ice cream cake in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
Near the bottom, draw a long flat oval plate, nearly as wide as the page. Add a rim oval inside.
Step 2: Top of the cake
Well above the plate, draw a flat oval about a hand wide, for the top of the cake.
Step 3: The sides
From the left end of the oval, draw a line down, round a shallow bottom, up to the right end.
Step 4: Ice cream band
Across the cake, draw 2 soft wavy lines that dip in the middle, from side to side.
Step 5: Two scoops
On the back of the top oval, draw 2 round scoops of ice cream side by side, with wavy bottoms.
Step 6: Cream swirls
Along the front of the top oval, draw 3 little swirls of cream with soft peaks, each a different size.
Step 7: Mini cone on top
Draw a little cone standing in the right swirl: a tall triangle, a round scoop and 2 criss-cross lines.
Step 8: Melting drips
From the top oval's front edge, draw 3 drips running down, each ending in a round blob above the band.
Tip Rub out the edge line across the top of each drip, so the drip runs out of the top.
Step 9: The table
Draw a long line under the plate, just touching its bottom.
Step 10: Cream top, white swirls
Go over your lines. Colour the cake top, the drips and the right scoop cream. Leave the swirls white.
Step 11: Pink scoops, tan cake
Colour the band, the left scoop and the little scoop pink. Colour the cake sides tan, around the drips.
Step 12: Ginger cone, sky plate
Colour the little cone ginger and the plate sky blue. Your ice cream cake is done!
