How to Draw an Ice Castle
Draw an ice castle in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the middle wall.
Step 1: The middle wall
In the middle of your paper draw a big wide box for the main wall.
Step 2: Two towers
On each side of the wall draw a tall thin tower box, taller than the wall.
Step 3: Crystal points
On top of each tower draw a tall ice crystal with a shoulder each side and a sharp point.
Step 4: Castle teeth
Start on the left tower. Draw castle teeth along the wall top, like boxes, and stop on the right tower.
Step 5: The middle crystal
In the middle, on top of the teeth, draw the biggest ice crystal, up to a sharp point.
Step 6: Little crystals
Beside the middle crystal draw 2 smaller pointed crystals leaning out, one each side, standing on the teeth.
Step 7: Icicles
Under each tower top and under the teeth, start at one side and draw zigzag icicles across to the other.
Step 8: Door and windows
In the middle of the wall draw an arched door. Add arched windows: 2 up each tower, one each side.
Step 9: Snow on the ground
Draw a snow bank over the castle's bottom, with a round hump at each end. Rub out the lines inside.
Step 10: Snowflakes
In the sky draw 3 snowflakes: 3 short lines crossing in the middle like a star.
Step 11: Icy blue walls
Colour the walls and towers sky blue, around the door and windows. Leave the snow white.
Step 12: Watery crystals
Colour all the crystals a watery blue, and the windows blue.
Step 13: Slate door
Colour the door slate grey. Your ice castle is done!
