How to Draw a Vampire Castle

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a vampire castle in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the hill.

Print

  1. Step 1: The hill

Start low on the left. Draw a wide hill and stop low on the right. Add a ground line.

Tip Leave most of the paper above the hill for the castle and the sky.

  2. Step 2: The tall tower

Start on the hill in the middle. Draw up, across and back down to the hill for a tall tower.

Tip Stop about half way up your paper. The roof needs lots of room.

  3. Step 3: Two side towers

On each side leave a gap. Start on the hill and draw a shorter tower, back down to the hill.

  4. Step 4: Roof bands

On top of each tower draw a flat band that sticks out a little past both sides.

  5. Step 5: Pointed roofs

On each band draw a tall pointed roof like a witch's hat. Make the middle one the tallest.

Tip Each roof is a little wider than its band, with sides that curve in.

  6. Step 6: Walls with teeth

From each side tower draw a wall across to the tall tower, with 2 square teeth on top.

  7. Step 7: Door and windows

Start on the hill. Draw a door with a rainbow top, back to the hill. Add 3 rainbow windows.

  8. Step 8: Winding path

Start at each side of the door. Draw a wiggly line down the hill. Stop at the ground.

Tip The path gets wider as it comes towards you.

  9. Step 9: Full moon

Behind the tallest roof draw a big round moon. Start and stop on the roof.

  10. Step 10: Three bats

In the sky draw 3 bats: 2 pointy ears, 2 pointy wings and a bumpy bottom edge.

Tip Keep the bats away from the roofs and the moon.

  11. Step 11: Glowing yellow

Colour the moon and the 3 windows yellow so they glow.

  12. Step 12: Green hill

Colour the path sandy yellow. Colour the hill green around it.

  13. Step 13: Grey castle

Colour the towers, bands and walls dark grey, around the windows. Colour the door brown.

  14. Step 14: Purple roofs

Colour the 3 pointed roofs purple and the 3 bats black. Your spooky castle is done!
