How to Draw an Ibex
Draw an ibex in 13 steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top left, draw a big round head, a bit taller than wide. Leave room on the right.
Tip The head is a bit taller than the body is deep.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Draw 2 big oval eyes and a triangle nose. From the nose, draw a line down to a w smile.
Step 3: Curved horns
On top of the head, draw 2 thick curved horns. Add 3 ridges across the lower half of each.
Tip Each horn is fat at the head and thin at its round tip.
Step 4: Leaf ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a leaf ear pointing out. Draw a teardrop inside each ear.
Step 5: The neck
Draw 2 neck lines: from behind the head down to the back, and from the chin down to the chest.
Tip The neck gets wider near the body.
Step 6: Bean body
Off the neck, draw a big bean body: a long back, a round bottom, a tummy and a round chest.
Tip A bean, not a loaf: the bottom is rounder and higher than the chest.
Step 7: Ground line
Below the body, draw a long flat ground line across the page.
Step 8: Two legs
From the chest, draw a front leg that narrows to a hoof. Add a back leg with a gentle bend.
Tip A hoof is a little doorstop, flat on the ground.
Step 9: The far legs
Beside each leg, towards the middle, draw a thinner leg peeking out, with its own small hoof.
Step 10: Little tail
On the top corner of the bottom, draw a little leaf tail pointing up and back.
Step 11: Beard
Under the chin draw a little pointed beard, like a small leaf hanging down.
Step 12: Colour it tan
Colour the ear insides peach. Colour the head, ears, body, legs and tail tan around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Horns and hooves
Colour the horns and beard wood brown, and the hooves slate grey. Go over your lines.

Your finished drawing
