How to Draw Humpty Dumpty
Draw Humpty Dumpty in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the egg.
Step 1: The egg
In the top half of your paper draw one big egg, narrower at the top and fat at the bottom.
Tip Leave the bottom third of the page for the wall he sits on.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Above the middle of the egg draw 2 big round eyes, a gap apart, with black dots and white shines.
Step 3: Smile and eyebrows
Start under the left eye and draw a U smile, stopping under the right eye. Add curved eyebrows above.
Step 4: A bowtie
Low on the egg draw a bowtie: 2 small triangles pointing in, with a little circle where they meet.
Step 5: The wall
Under the egg draw a long box for the wall, nearly edge to edge, its top running behind the egg.
Step 6: Brick rows
Draw 3 lines straight across the wall, spaced evenly, from the left end to the right end.
Step 7: Brick ends
Between the rows draw short up-and-down lines, staggered like bricks. Each starts on one row and stops on the next.
Step 8: Arms and hands
From each side of the egg draw an arm bending down to a mitten hand resting on the wall.
Step 9: Legs
From the bottom of the egg draw 2 legs dangling in front of the wall, thinner at the ankles.
Step 10: Shoes and ground
On each leg draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Add a ground line at the very bottom.
Step 11: Cream egg, pink cheeks
Colour the egg cream, going round the cheeks, then colour the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Peach hands, blue clothes
Colour the hands peach, then the arms and legs blue.
Step 13: Red wall, black shoes
Colour the wall and bowtie red, and the shoes black. Go over your lines. Humpty Dumpty is on his wall!
