How to Draw a Bundt Cake

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a bundt cake in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top.

Print

  1. Step 1: The top

A little above the middle draw a wide flat oval, nearly as wide as your hand.

Tip A bundt cake is a ring cake with a hole in the middle.

  2. Step 2: The sides

Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a big round curve down and up to the right end.

  3. Step 3: The hole

In the middle of the top draw a wide flat oval for the hole.

  4. Step 4: Wavy glaze

Start at the left end of the top. Draw 7 soft bumps hanging down the front, ending at the right.

  5. Step 5: Drips

Under 3 bumps draw a long U drip, starting and stopping on the bump. Rub out the line inside each.

  6. Step 6: Ridges

Where the bumps meet, draw 4 curved lines down to the bottom, one on each side of every drip.

  7. Step 7: A plate

Under the cake draw a long flat oval plate. Add a second oval just inside it for the rim.

Tip Lift your pencil where the plate passes behind the cake.

  8. Step 8: The table

Draw a table line under the plate from far left to far right, touching its bottom.

  9. Step 9: Sky plate

Go over your lines. Leave the glaze and drips white, and colour the plate sky blue.

  10. Step 10: Golden cake

Colour the sides of the cake ginger, a golden brown, around the white drips.

  11. Step 11: Brown hole

Colour inside the hole dark brown. Your bundt cake is done!
