How to Draw a Funnel Cake
Draw a funnel cake in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a big plate.
Step 1: A big plate
Draw a big flat oval plate, nearly as wide as your paper, a little below the middle.
Step 2: The rim
Just inside the plate, draw a second oval all the way round for the rim.
Step 3: Bumpy cake
Inside the rim, draw a big round cake with a bumpy edge of fat puffy bumps.
Tip Make the bumps a little different sizes, like loops of batter.
Step 4: Powdered sugar
At the top middle of the cake, draw a soft cloud with bumpy edges for the powdered sugar.
Step 5: A strawberry
Just right of the sugar, draw a fat strawberry, round on top and pointy at the bottom.
Step 6: Leaf crown
Start on the left edge near the top, zigzag 3 pointy leaves across the strawberry, stop on the right edge.
Step 7: Seeds
Dot 4 tiny seeds on the strawberry, spread out like a zigzag.
Step 8: Batter holes
Round the left and along the bottom, draw 4 curvy holes of different sizes and shapes.
Tip Leave a fat rope of batter between the holes, so the cake looks like loops of batter.
Step 9: More holes
In the middle and round the strawberry, draw 4 more holes with a rope of batter round each.
Step 10: The table
Draw a long flat line for the table, just under the plate and out past both sides.
Step 11: Tan cake
Go over your lines. Colour the cake tan around the sugar, the strawberry and the holes. Leave the sugar white.
Step 12: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue around the cake, and colour the holes sky blue too.
Step 13: Red strawberry
Colour the strawberry red around the seeds and its leaves green, and your funnel cake is done!
